A mysterious and surprisingly powerful chatbot briefly appeared on the Internet, but the AI tool was taken down shortly after.
It is not known where this artificial intelligence system came from, but what is clear is that it is one of the most powerful tools in the world.
The tool was first spotted on LMSYS Org, a website that benchmarks and ranks AI systems. Users noticed that a tool called gpt2-chatbot was briefly available for use.
News spread quickly about the new tool, which users said was similar to the most powerful tool available in the world, OpenAI’s ChatGPT4. A few users even claimed that this mysterious tool outperformed all models on certain tests.
But many noted that there was no information about where the model came from, fueling speculation about the mysterious model.
But gpt2-chatbot was taken offline shortly after appearing on the Internet.
LMSYS Org stated that this (offline) was a result of ‘unexpectedly high traffic and its high capacity limit’ and that the outage is temporary.

In a post on AX, the website said: ‘Please stay tuned for an even bigger release of the tool.’
The website also noted that it intended to work with developers to test systems before release, and that much of that testing would be with general users.
