Rawalpindi: Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has described the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP) as a project of major national and strategic importance and said that the country will get many benefits from this project. Development of technical sector and self-reliance will be promoted.

In a statement released by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir inaugurated the second phase of the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP) Silicon. I attended as a special guest.

Army Chief Syed Asim Munir on this occasion termed ‘NASTP’ as a project of national and strategic importance and said that the country will get many benefits from this project as technological development will be promoted through this project. The Army Chief appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Air Force, its leadership and technical personnel for crossing another milestone in the ‘NASTP’ project.

According to ISPR, on this occasion, the Chief of Pakistan Air Force called on ‘NASTP’ to become one of the best clusters in the field of aerospace, cyber and IT in the country and the most social, He shared his vision regarding this with the Army Chief, stating that it is important to get economic, security and scientific benefits.

He said in his vision that the project will be a major milestone in transforming the national landscape with design, R&D and innovation centers for emerging and disruptive technologies. According to ISPR, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer. Ahmed Babar Sidhu welcomed the Army Chief. Later, Army Chief General Asim Munir also visited the Corps Head Quarters Karachi, where the Corps Commander Karachi welcomed the Chief of Army Staff and informed him about the operational preparations of the Corps, training matters and the soldiers and martyrs.
