New Train Schedule Implemented Across the Country for Spring Festival Travel
Starting from 0:00 on the 10th, the railways across the country will implement a new train schedule. This adjustment is the largest railway map adjustment before the Spring Festival travel rush.
After the map adjustment, the national railways will arrange 11,149 passenger trains every day, an increase of 233 trains compared with the original map, and 22,264 freight trains will be operated daily, an increase of 40 trains compared with the original map.
The 2024 Spring Festival Transport will start on January 26 and end on March 5, totaling 40 days. Tickets for the first day of Spring Festival travel in 2024 (January 26) will go on sale on January 12. Passengers are advised to purchase tickets through official channels such as the China Railway 12306 website and the “Railway 12306” mobile client to avoid irregular tickets, ticket price increases, and personal information leakage.
The statutory holidays for the Spring Festival in 2024 are from February 10 to February 17, 2024, and train tickets can be pre-sold 15 days in advance.
The Railway 12306 mobile client has launched two new functions: pre-filling ticket purchase requirements and train ticket sales reminder subscription. Passengers can now pre-fill the passenger, train number, seat, and other information on the day the tickets go on sale, submit the order, and complete the payment with one click. Additionally, passengers can set multiple reminders through the system in advance according to the ticket sales start time in order to submit ticket purchase orders in a timely manner.
