National Symphony Orchestra celebrates International Jazz Day with a single show • NATIONAL RADIO

The Fusion Ensemble of the National Symphony Orchestra of Paraguay (OSN) will celebrate this Monday, April 29, “International Jazz Day” with a special concert, to be held from 8:00 p.m. in the OSN auditorium, located in Ayala Velázquez 376 almost Capitán Brizuela – Asunción, with free access.

On the occasion, a varied repertoire will be provided to appreciate the different aspects of jazz and fusion with other styles and genres.

In this way, it will also present the works of Paraguayan composers and composers from other countries, such as Billy Strayhorn, Dizzy Gillespie, Kuky Rey, Tom Jobim and Peteque Peteque; among others.

The OSN cast is made up of Omar Valdez (Guitar and violin), Giovanni Primerano (Piano), Víctor Morel (Drums) and Paula Rodríguez (Bass) will be a guest.

International Jazz Day

“International Jazz Day” has been commemorated every April 30 since 2012 and was proclaimed by UNESCO in November 2011, with the aim of highlighting the role of jazz as a factor uniting people in all corners of the world. .

In this way, the aim is to raise awareness among the general public about the virtues of jazz as an educational tool and engine for peace, unity, dialogue and cooperation between peoples.
