The latest version of the Church of Jesus Christ Gospel Library app offers improved accessibility and audio playback options to listen to gospel content on the go—just in time to start reviewing general conference messages.
The improvements provide greater accessibility to anyone who prefers to listen to read and increase the options for how and where Latter-day Saints can listen to general conference talks, scriptures, sacred music, and other gospel content.
Version 6.8 of the Gospel Library app, now available for iOS and Android, includes improvements for listening in your car using iOS CarPlay and Android Auto, and a new standard audio player.
“Whether you are a traveling parent, a commuter, someone doing household chores, exercising, or simply someone resting your eyes, you can immerse yourself in the words of the prophets and apostles and invite the Spirit into your life,” said Courtney Nelson, an outreach manager for the church.
New features
iOS CarPlay e Android Auto
Users whose latest-generation vehicles can connect to their mobile device via iOS CarPlay and Android Auto can now access content in the Gospel Library app, hands-free. This feature allows users to easily connect to the Gospel Library and listen to uplifting content wherever they go.

Standard audio player
The new design facilitates access to features that enhance your listening experiences, such as a new mini player and an expanded audio player.

After starting the audio content, the mini player appears as a bar at the bottom of the screen. The standard audio player now allows you to browse other content while audio plays in the background.
The expanded player opens when you click on the mini player. New features such as sleep timer, shuffle and repeat are available. The playback speed is also positioned more prominently.
New voice options
Now you can select the type of audio you want. Select Text to Speech to see a list of additional possible voices for your device.
To listen to music, select Favorite audio type and choose from several options, which may include accompaniment, instrumental or choir, children’s voices, youth voices or family voices.
