Tomorrow, Monday, April 15, the new book of deductions related to renting driverless cars will enter into force, setting new conditions for investment in this sector. In a proactive step, the Ministry of Transport and Logistics wrote to unions and bodies representing professionals regarding this new notebook, and took a set of measures to download it, after agreeing on its final form since last February.

The postponement of the activation of the new registration booklet from March to the middle of this month came with the aim of implementing a set of necessary procedures, such as preparing special procedures for operations related to driverless car rental activity and updating the information system for these procedures, in addition to holding study classes to familiarize the departments concerned with the new booklet and procedures. Its own, and the transitional requirements that came with it.

The Ministry of Transport and Logistics asked unions and professional representations to invite car rental agencies to sign the new book of fees and adhere to its conditions, especially the conditions related to the social headquarters, the required capital, the number of cars, and the expected composition of the route.

The new specifications book includes, in its terms, the expansion of the group of car rental agencies to include all vehicles that require licenses of category “A”, “A1” and “B”, and it also includes requirements that have been long awaited by professionals, such as requirements for the competence of agency managers, including Proof of years of experience through a certificate of registration in the National Social Security Fund. Determining the required capital for companies at 500 thousand dirhams, boycotting unhealthy practices related to methods of financing the car park, and clarifying the legal requirements for the management and the legal representative.
