ā€œModerate to Heavy Rains Expected in 10 Cities in Guangxi Todayā€

From yesterday night to this morning, Guangxi has been experiencing heavy rainfall and strong convective weather. Cities such as Nanning, Fangchenggang, Beihai, and Yulin are currently facing strong rains and winds. The forecast predicts that the heavy rainfall will continue today, with some areas experiencing local heavy rain and strong convective weather. Tomorrow, southern Guangxi is expected to see light to moderate rain with the possibility of localized heavy rain.

The Guangxi Meteorological Observatory has issued a warning for Hezhou, Wuzhou, Guigang, Yulin, Qinzhou, Beihai, Fangchenggang, Nanning, Chongzuo, Baise, and other cities to expect moderate to heavy rain, accompanied by thunderstorms, strong winds, and hail. Other areas may experience light rain and localized heavy rain.

In addition, the Guangxi Hydrological Center has reported floods ranging from 0.07 to 1.2 meters at several stations along rivers in the region. A blue flood warning has been issued as a precaution.

The meteorological department is urging the public to be cautious, especially in areas already prone to geological disasters. With the risk of flash floods, landslides, debris flows, and river floods heightened by heavy rainfall, residents are advised to take necessary precautions.
