Novara, the diocese launches “Passio”: “The restart after the difficult moments of the pandemic”

Passio starts again in the sign of the rebirth of social life. After the stop of the 2020 edition, interrupted by the pandemic, the cultural project promoted by the diocese of Novara returns from 2 March to 24 April 2022 with a program of events that involves the entire diocesan territory. The event, entitled «Get up, clothe yourself in light! After the night, the city is reborn », he focuses a reflection on the city, a symbolic place of organized human coexistence, put to the test in the two years of health emergency, and indicates prospects of rebirth and hope.

“After the long night, we ardently hope to return to see the light” says Bishop Franco Giulio Brambilla. «The city needs to get up, find itself, go back to throbbing. It needs to open itself to the gushing source of charity, mercy, forgiveness and communion, which are the different ways of life of proximity. We must go back to dreaming of the future, after the time of labor and anxiety, to put on the light of encounter and joy ». The protagonists of the project will be Novara, Arona, Domodossola, Varallo and Omegna, with 33 meetings, concerts, shows, pilgrimages and moments of reflection and prayer. Thursday will be dedicated to spirituality meetings, Friday to culture and Saturday to artistic events. Among the speakers the historian Franco Cardini, the former editor of Corriere della Sera Ferruccio De Bortoli and the philosopher Vito Mancuso.
