First there were free access sessions organized ad hoc in all vaccination centers in the area, then the calls from family doctors, then the administration of the Johnson & Johnson single-dose serum to avoid returning people after some time for the second injection. . Finally, the possibility of always finding slots specifically dedicated to this age group.
In short, the Prevention Department headed by Sandro Cinquetti is doing everything to intercept those who do not want to get immunized. And after the various initiatives, now the service is playing the last card (or almost) which is that of the nominal invitation.
The invitation ad personam
«In favor of the over 60s, booking spaces are always available on the Ulss portal», Cinquetti points out, «but this requires the person to decide to get immunized. And so, to try to convince the most reticent, we decided to invite all over 60 unvaccinated and unreserved Belluno people, about nine thousand, with a letter indicating the day and time in which to show up at one of our public centers in immunization”.
It starts from Cadore
The healthcare company will then start with Cadore. “We are preparing 1,400 convocation letters for as many people born between 1952 and 1961”, explains the head of Prevention who adds: “The letters, in order to avoid delays in delivery, will be delivered thanks to the help of the districts and municipal administrations that they will make available to volunteers perhaps from civil protection who will make the delivery by hand to individual recipients “.
The call of June 27
All those over 60 of Cadore will therefore be called to the Tai vaccination center on Sunday 27 June for an ad hoc mass session. After this experience, the letters will also be sent to the other territories. «In the large municipalities», Cinquetti underlines, «we decided to send the letter through the Italian Post Office».
In this way, for the whole month of July the sessions will be held for over-sixties, who will eventually be called for a reminder. “In this way, by the autumn these people will have completed immunization and therefore will not have to be recalled for the third dose, because they will still enjoy full vaccine coverage during the cold season”, emphasizes the Director of Prevention. The hope is that, when a letter arrives with their name, users will be able to join the campaign. Our commitment for this age group is maximum because they are the citizens most at risk of contagion and getting sick », summarizes Cinquetti.
