A 31-year-old man of Moroccan origin was arrested by the flying squad of the Alessandria Police Headquarters after 33 kilos of hashish were found hidden in a garage. The investigations began after reports received last autumn about an alleged drug ring.
The investigators, directed by the manager Riccardo Calcagno, thanks to stakeouts and shadowing, noticed that the man, resident in Novi Ligure, met with other people in Serravalle Scrivia, often at night. What made the officers suspicious were the fleeting arrivals and departures of the 31-year-old in the area of a garage, which could not be traced back to him. The keys to the garage were then found by the officers during the search of the home of a 35-year-old with whom the former met frequently. Found in possession of hashish, cocaine, a precision scale and cash, he also ended up in handcuffs.
The agents of the Genoa canine unit also contributed to the operations.
