Passive income: How much will Rheinmetall increase its dividend?

The share price of defense giant Rheinmetall has quadrupled in just over two years. However, the dividend yield is languishing. Will the distributions double?

For years, defense companies were considered like… Rheinmetallwhich is what the dividend radar is about wallstreetONLINE this week, as reliable – if somewhat boring – dividend payers. Well suited for hedging a portfolio. Thanks to their long-running orders, which mostly came from states, their income was secure. And investors could rely on the stable distributions – even if the dividend yield rarely rose above the four percent mark.

With the start of the war in Ukraine, a lot changed, at least on the revenue side. The floodgates opened for Rheinmetall and one order after another came in, often in the three-digit million range.
