For his part, Márquez, during his participation in the Summit of Leaders for Life of Chocó, held in Quibdó, capital of the department where several landslides caused the death of 39 people, reiterated the Government’s commitment to the communities.
“We are moving forward and prioritizing concrete actions in terms of road construction, health, education, drinking water, environment, culture, sports, among others.” In order for there to be development and progress in this historically excluded department, we need to guarantee that social investment arrives effectively,” said the vice president on her social networks.
The vice president’s office also confirmed that Márquez will finally not attend the Sundance Film Festival in the United States, where he was scheduled to attend the premiere of the film ‘Igualada’, to be present during this government action.
