Ten million euro budget
To encourage investments in the sector and develop a strong and competitive manufacturing industry, with the decree of 24 March 2022, the Ministry of Economic Development allocated the first 10 million euros of funding, out of a total of 200 million allocated for the Partnership-Horizon Europe intervention of the Pnrr, to the calls issued in 2021 as part of the European initiative KDT JU (Key Digital Technologies Joint Undertaking). The objective is to strengthen the strategic autonomy of Italy and the European Union in cutting-edge electronic components and systems, in order to facilitate the technological transfer of innovative sensor platforms based on artificial intelligence to the business world. The founding members of the KDT JU are the EU Commission, the member or associated states, including Italy, and the European industrial associations that aim to double the value of these activities by 2030 and foster competitiveness, sustainability and growth. economic. A 40% share of the 10 million euro allocation is reserved for companies located in the southern regions.

Facilitation applications must be submitted exclusively electronically to the certified e-mail address [email protected] by 17:00 on 16 May 2022, under penalty of inadmissibility. The procedure is provided for by the directorial decree of 28 April 2022.
