Units of the anti-explosive group of the National Police went on the morning of Wednesday, April 24, to the Merecure de Paz neighborhood of Ariporo, after receiving an alert about the presence of a suspicious device.

A military base operated at the point years ago, so the discovery of the element was confirmed and verification activities were carried out, where the experts concluded that due to its conditions the artifact had been abandoned in the area for quite some time.

After complying with security protocols, the mine-type explosive device was detonated in a controlled manner.
