The president of Argentina, Javier Milei once again showed his distance from the main leftist leaders of the region in an interview in which he called his Mexican counterpart, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, “ignorant,” and the Colombian president, Gustavo Petro, a “terrorist murderer.”

“It is a compliment that an ignorant person like López Obrador speaks badly of me, it exalts me,” Milei said in an interview with the American network CNN en Español, which will be broadcast on Sunday, but of which the channel broadcast a preview this Wednesday.

The Argentine president responded like this when asked about the criticism towards him andexpressed by his Mexican counterpart and by the ruling party’s candidate in the next elections in Mexico, Claudia Scheinbaum.
