The head of the Catholic Church welcomed Scholz in the morning at the Apostolic Palace, where both met for a discussion. The Chancellor then explained that the meeting was about how peace and security could be improved worldwide. The topics of migration and justice were also addressed. Yesterday Scholz met Italian President Mattarella as part of his two-day visit to Rome.
