Premier League, Everton suspends a footballer investigated by the police

Everton suspended a player from the first team, without giving his personal details, because he was subjected to a police investigation. The Premier League club, England’s largest football franchise, did not provide further details on the case.

“The club will continue to support the authorities with their investigations and will not release any further statements at this time,” Everton added in a statement on its website.
