“Princess Kate had to announce cancer diagnosis because news threatened to leak”

by admin

British Crown Princess Kate was forced to communicate about her cancer diagnosis as news of her condition threatened to leak. The Daily Mail reports this.

Kate announced in a video message on March 22 that she had cancer and was undergoing preventive chemotherapy. But according to “a well-placed source at Kensington Palace” of the Daily Mail, that message was released faster than planned, because otherwise the news was in danger of leaking.

It’s unclear whether that alleged leak came from the London Clinic, the private hospital where Kate underwent abdominal surgery in January, or from elsewhere. British authorities opened an investigation into the London Clinic last week after a number of employees tried to view the princess’s medical records without permission.

Mystery

Kate underwent abdominal surgery on January 16. In the following weeks she was barely seen in public, causing much speculation in the British press and public opinion. All kinds of conspiracy theories were even spread, especially after the princess had an edited photo of herself with her children distributed.

Only two months later did that speculation end, when Kate announced in a video message that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was in the early stages of “preventive chemo treatment.”

The wife of British Crown Prince William then asked for peace and privacy to process the news and combat the disease. Last week she thanked the British people for their many expressions of support.
