The non-profit affiliation atelier cellular – since 2011 specialised in design+construct workshops, interactive exhibitions, intercultural areas and structure festivals – joins forces with the Munlab Ecomuseo dell’Argillaa cultural, collective and non-profit undertaking that since 1987 has taken care of the centenary buildings and the clay quarry of the native brick manufacturing facility in Cambiano, 15 km south-east of Turin – and presents a design and self-construction workshop inside the city’s brick manufacturing facility geared toward creation of public artwork constructions for the ecomuseum and group actions.
Still in operation, the brick manufacturing facility, constructed subsequent to the previous one managed by the T2D group, would be the setting for the 5 days of intensive shared laboratory – scheduled from 31 July to 4 August – to mix the artistic reuse of waste supplies from the oven manufacturing line and the general public use of out of doors furnishings and gadgets.
Participants – guided by tutors Luca Barello, Rough Christian, Enrico Vercellino (atelier cellular aps), Elena Carena (Munlab) and the invited artists Andrea Caretto e Raffaella Spagna – they are going to be immersed in a cooperative expertise that includes technical and creative experimentation, shared planning and an actual building web site.
The predominant materials will likely be clay, within the kinds provided by the reuse of “waste” supplies from the T2D brick manufacturing line.
Who is it geared toward?
The workshop is open to a most of 15 college students or latest graduates from bachelor’s, grasp’s and doctorate programs in structure, inside structure, design, panorama and engineering.

The participation payment is 135 euros and contains supplies for the workshop, insurance coverage and registration as a voluntary member of atelier cellular aps.
