According to the RIA Novosti news agency on the 2nd, President Putin said at a meeting of Russian Interior Ministry executives that day, “The Russian government will definitely arrest the person who ordered the Crocus terror attack.”
“In such a criminal environment, there are no trustworthy agents and they do everything for money,” President Putin explained. “They want money rather than religious or political reasons, and they will do anything for money.”
“Everything, including information, can be bought and sold easily due to financial factors,” he said, adding, “We can definitely reach the ‘end customer.’”
Immediately after the concert hall attack that killed 144 people, the Islamic State (IS) claimed responsibility for the attack, but Russia continues to raise the possibility that Ukraine was involved.
