Railway 12306 Improves Waitlisted Ticket Purchasing Function

In an effort to further enhance the success rate of passenger ticket purchases, the Railway 12306 website has announced the optimization and upgrade of the waitlisted ticket purchasing function. The number of waitlisted order combinations has been increased from 10 to 60, providing passengers with more options and flexibility when it comes to purchasing tickets.

Effective from January 11, the Railway 12306 website, including the mobile client, will implement several improvements to the waitlist ticket purchasing function. These enhancements include an increase in the number of waitlisted orders and alternative plans, an expansion of the range of waitlisted order redemption time options, and the prioritization of new passenger train seats for passengers who have submitted waiting orders.

The Railway 12306 Science and Technology Innovation Center has expressed that these upgrades are aimed at improving the overall passenger ticket purchasing experience. The adjustments to the waitlisted ticket purchasing function will allow passengers to submit up to 6 waiting orders for redemption, with a maximum of 9 passengers per order.

Furthermore, passengers will now have the option to choose from any 3 travel dates during the pre-sale period and select up to 60 “date + train” combinations in total, with multiple seats available for each train. This expanded range of options provides passengers with greater flexibility and increased chances of securing the tickets they need.

The waitlist order fulfillment time options have also been expanded, with the deadline for redemption adjusted to 20 minutes before departure. Additionally, passengers who have submitted waiting orders will be given priority when new passenger train seats are added, streamlining the ticket purchasing process and providing a more seamless experience for passengers.
