The Government announced that pensioners who receive up to 3 current legal monthly minimum wages: as of January 1, 2024, their health contributions will be reduced from 12% to 10%, thus complying with the provisions of the National Development Plan 2022-2026, “Colombia, World Power for Life.”

The measure was officially communicated through the Resolution 1271 of 2023, issued by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection. The reduction in the contribution percentage comes into effect immediately and will benefit pensioners who earn between 1 million 300 thousand pesos and 3 million 900 thousand pesos in his pension allowance.

The Integrated Contribution Settlement Form (PILA) has already been adjusted to incorporate this benefit, which means that retirees in this income range will experience an increase in their monthly income, giving them greater savings capacity and improving living conditions for both themselves and their families.

The modification is made in accordance with article 78 of Law 2294 of 2023which establishes that the “health contribution paid by pensioners who earn between 2 and 3 minimum wages will be reduced from 12 percent to 10 percent, which will apply from the effective date of 2024, following regulation by the national government. ».

Pensioners for a minimum wage (1,300,000 pesos): they deduct 4 percent of health.

Pensioners between one and two minimum salaries (from 1,300,000 to 2,600,000 pesos): they deduct 10 percent of health.

Pensioners between two and three minimum wages (from 2,600,000 to 3,900,000 pesos): they deduct 10 percent of health.
