The National Agency for Sanitation and Public Health (ANASAP) reminds people that water retention basins are not municipal swimming pools.

This development is made by the agency, after cases of drowning have been identified on a regular basis.

Signage is installed near the pools to prohibit their access.

Note that a rainwater retention basin is a facility that collects rainwater that falls within a given perimeter.
