“Remembering” is the theme of RootsTech 2024a three-day global conference dedicated to celebrating family, taking place online and in person in Salt Lake City from February 29 to March 2.

RootsTech, organized annually by FamilySearch International and supported by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is the largest family history event in the world. The conference includes an in-person event at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City to complement the online experience.

Millions are expected to attend both virtually and in person for inspiring speeches, educational lessons and innovative technologies, as well as the chance to help them remember and celebrate their family, their lives, their adventures and their memories.

“It’s natural human behavior to remember the crucial experiences in our lives and those people who influenced them,” said Jen Allen, FamilySearch’s director of events. “RootsTech 2024 will help us remember people and experiences, but it will also help us think about how we want to be remembered in the future.”
