Russian forces attacked agricultural infrastructure in the Odessa region in southern Ukraine with Onyx supersonic missiles this Wednesday, according to the head of the Military Administration of the area, Oleg Kiper.
The Onyx are one of the most difficult types of Russian-made missiles to intercept, because they fly at high speed and at low altitude.
Night attack on Odessa
“After the massive nighttime drone attack on Odessa, in the morning Russian terrorists hit the region with missiles,” Kiper wrote on his Telegram channel.
Last night, Russia launched around twenty Iranian Shahed drones that were almost entirely shot down by Ukraine in the south of the country.
The target of the missiles, Kiper explained without specifying the number of Onyx used in the attack, were agricultural companies in two different districts of the Odessa region.

The Ukrainian-produced Viljá missiles, equipped with guidance systems, are fired from self-propelled ramps and have a range of just over 100 kilometers.
