Despite the significant drop in the real estate sector in 2023 in the department of Cesar, builders bet on launches, initiations and sales of homes, which allowed 1,536 families to buy houses and apartments.

New home sales decreased by 39% compared to 2022, according to figures from Coordenada Urbana, which is Camacol’s georeferenced information system. The data also shows that launches and initiations registered a reduction of between 19% and 24% in 2023 compared to 2022.

The sector is looking for a rebound with the continuity in the allocation of ‘Mi Casa Ya Subsidies’ and the Family Compensation Funds, as well as interest rates, which are expected to continue falling.

The National Government, through the Ministry of Housing, established the subsidy for families, according to the Sisben group to which they belong.

Sisben A1-C8: receive a subsidy of 30 smmlv – $39 million; Sisben C9-D20: receive subsidy of 20 smmlv – $26 million; Subsidy concurrence: up to 50 smmlv – $65 million; VIS Value 2024: 135 SMMLV – $175 million 500 and VIP Value 2024: 90 SMMLV – $117 million.
