Maurizio Perinetti, leader of the Democratic Party in the city council, is very hard on the times and methods of the patronal, starting with the unpacking of the organization entrusted in part to the Festa e Fiera di San Savino association by Renzo Galletto (horses and market) and in part to the new Ivrea Events Committee of Daniele Gismondi and Vincenzo Ceratti (events and shows). «For three years now, the patronal has been organized at the last minute with decidedly unflattering results – explains Maurizio Perinetti – while it could be a flagship as regards the aspect linked to horses. There is now just over a month left for the event and the organizers, to whom we thank for the effort they are putting in, are forced to jump through hoops. Unfortunately, the party is paying for all the internal contradictions and carelessness of the majority. Not to mention entrusting part of the funding to a committee within which there is the citizen secretary of Forza Italia, Vincenzo Ceratti ”. Perinetti also fears for the 2023 edition of the Carnival. «The real risk is that the Carnival as we knew it before the pandemic is no more – continues Perinetti -. To give a small example: in San Savino the parade of carriages will no longer pass in via Palestro because to do so the road would have to be cordoned off. Let’s just imagine what the restrictions may be for an event like our Carnival. To tackle these problems, however, we should already be at work ». We had asked for a meeting extended to all members after the cancellation of the 2021 edition – concludes Perinetti – The mayor had undertaken to convene it, but his intentions were not followed up “.

Francesco Comotto, ViviamoIvrea’s parent company, does not discount the Sertoli junta. «The story of San Savino is an example of the improvisation with which this city has been administered for the past four years. If it may seem too much to ask for a vision of what Ivrea will be in 10 years, remembering to draw up a notice in time to organize the patronal feast is the minimum wage. The secretary of the Pd Luca Spitale also intervenes on the subject: “The current administration is proving to be inadequate from all points of view, whether it is a matter of presenting a budget within compatible terms for effective management, publishing a notice within a reasonable time, adjusting an elevator. The decisions on the organization of San Savino are the latest example ». «The Sertoli administration has shown all its inability, letting months pass without carrying out all those preparatory activities necessary to promptly arrive at the choice of an organizer of the event – adds Spitale -. It is not enough. The deadline for organizing things decently has now expiredto an exploratory notice repeatedly highlighting in the press that the resources available amounted to 25 thousand euros. Too bad that after the assignment we all discovered that the funds had become 40,000. This is a serious fact because if the information had been made public before the deadline for the call, it would probably have allowed others to participate as well ”.
