Satena opens three new routes to Chocó: Acandí, Condoto and Pizarro

The department of Chocó has few roads to communicate with the rest of Colombia and those that exist are not good highways. That is why its leaders have always demanded better air connectivity.

Until now, only Quibdó has had permanent flights and with a significant number of seats. Nuquí, Bahía Solano and Capurganá have for years attracted some small airlines due to their tourist flow, but the service has not been permanent due to unforeseen events in the sector, such as the disappearance of ADA and San Germán.

That is why the opening of three new routes is good news for the region. Satena announced on April 2 the start of operations from Medellín to Acandí, Condoto and Pizarro.

Acandí is the main Chocoan town in the Caribbean and from there you can easily reach Capurganá and Sapzurro.

Condoto is a municipality located in the center of the department, rich in gold and platinum, and from there it can be connected by land to other locations.

Finally, Pizarro is the name given to the urban center of the municipality of Bajo Baudó, with an agricultural and fishing vocation, with a coast on the Pacific and where about 20 thousand people live.

These destinations will be served with 19-passenger planes that will arrive in the coming weeks to join the Satena fleet.
