Mattarella: preserving freedom, democracy and peace

“The dramatic Afghan affair that followed” the attacks of 11 September, adds the head of state, “up to the recent very serious attack on the Kabul airport, the latest in a series of brutal terrorist attacks that have taken place over the years in many countries, confirms how arduous the road to the affirmation of human rights is. Freedom, democracy, peace and security are indivisible values ​​that can never be considered acquired, but must be preserved and nurtured by the international community ”.
