The combination of East Terraglio (first section) and the roundabout at the intersection with via Pindemonte had a partly unexpected effect, and harmful for those who live in the quadrant between via Zermanese and via Aldo Moro. Traffic has increased in the two roads, chosen as an alternative to Terraglio. Some of those vehicles – especially in via Zermanese – were brought from the first section of the East Terraglio. For those arriving from Treviso it is the fastest way – albeit longer – to get to the toll booth of the passer-by, or to the one further south of the A27 , between the farmhouse and Mogliano. Added to this is the traffic of those who discovered them thanks to the roundabout in via Pindemonte, in front of the new supermarket.
If the work did not have great effects on the Terraglio axis, it did, indeed, on the intersection of via Pindemonte. Those who have to take the state road, or have to turn left to take it, do so much more easily than in the past. The result is that motorists are choosing it more and more often. If we add to this the traffic generated by the supermarket, here are the complaints of the residents. Among other things, in this period the accumulation of vehicles has been “sterilized” by Covid, and now by the holidays. In short, in September it could be worse.
For this reason, those who live in the Dosson quadrant ask the municipality to intervene. «When the second section of the East Terraglio arrives», says Simona Guardati, leader of the opposition, «the problem will be solved. We have always voted in favor of the second excerpt because it is also necessary for Dosson. The Via Pindemonte roundabout and the supermarket have their effect, we would have liked a different intervention ».
Also for the mayor of Casier, Renzo Carraretto, for a definitive solution we will have to wait for the completion of the East Terraglio, «we had foreseen it, as we had foreseen that the roundabout in via Pindemonte would have fluidized the traffic. But we didn’t put the supermarket. Dosson hasn’t had a viability plan for many years, they are all residential streets, which are now dealing with excess traffic.
