Sinéad O’Connor’s official cause of death revealed

Irish singer Sinéad O’Connor died of natural causes, the Daily Mail revealed on Tuesday, citing a report from the Southwark coroner’s court in London, United Kingdom.

The 56-year-old star was found “unconscious” after police were called to her apartment in July last year. Investigators ruled out that the death occurred under suspicious circumstances.

“This is to confirm that O’Connor died of natural causes,” a court spokesperson said. “Therefore, the investigating judge has ceased to intervene in his death,” he adds.

O’Connor left behind three children, Jake Reynolds, Roisin Waters and Yeshua Francis Neil Bonadio. His son Shane committed suicide in January 2022, at age 17. After that loss, the singer commented on social networks that “it made no sense to live without him,” and she was later hospitalized.

The artist, originally from Dublin, released 10 studio albums, but her worldwide fame came with the song ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’, which was awarded as the number one single in the world at the 1990 Billboard Music Awards. With RT
