(iLmeteo.it) Cold air of polar origin is pouring into the Mediterranean basin where a depression circulation will come to life, responsible for a further failure of the weather in many regions. Mattia Gussoni, meteorologist of the site www.iLMeteo.it warns that the cold air arriving from Northern Europe will activate the entry of strong Libeccio winds on our seas that will push numerous disturbed bodies ready to impact Sardinia, Tuscany, Lazio and Campania in the form of heavy rains and thunderstorms. On Saturday, snow will also fall, again in the Alps of Triveneto and Lombardy above 7-900 meters and in the Apennines at about 1300 meters. The winds will blow very strong with gusts up to 100 km / h in the open sea and 50-60 km / h along the coasts where there will be intense storms, especially on Tuscany (on the Livorno area). On Sunday the cold air will become even more incisive and if in the North the weather starts to improve, in the Center-South it will be the same regions on Saturday that will be affected by bad weather. Given the general drop in temperatures, the snow will drop further in altitude on Sardinia and the Apennine sectors and up to above 6-800 meters by evening with accumulations of over 20-30 cm.
