When traveling from La Paz to Valledupar, along the new highway, the social communicator and journalist, Lola Gutiérrez Duarte, and her minor daughter, who suffered a traffic accident early in the morning when she was preparing to drop the girl off at school in the north of the capital of Caesar.
Gutiérrez Duarte was driving his car with plates EHO-028, heading to the girl’s school and in the middle of the trip he lost control of the vehicle until he hit a concrete post on the side of the road. Witnesses indicated that the pole was energized and therefore they helped them immediately to avoid further damage.
Preliminary versions indicated that the journalist suffered minor injuries, while her daughter suffered a fracture in one of her extremities and is therefore in the intermediate ICU for prevention and better care, at the Simón Bolívar Pediatric clinic.
