Sostegni bis decree: the money does not arrive and silence envelops the buildings of power

by admin

On June 16, the automatic transfers were due to start but nothing happened

It’s the usual slaughter game.

Do we remember the former Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte who a year ago invited the Italians to rest assured and announced loans of up to 25,000 euros disbursed in three days without guarantees? It guaranteed the state, but Poste Italiane (a state-owned company) did not accept this formula. The state that did not trust itself. And the customers of the other banks did receive the loans, but not exactly without guarantees and not exactly after just three days.

Long months have passed that have devoured the economy of Italian families and entrepreneurs. Covid-19 is a virus that kills, but the government of a state that promises and does not deliver is in fact an equally lethal virus.

The Minister of Economy had declared that on June 16 the transfers of the Sostegno bis decree would start automatically. The transfers have not started and no explanation has been provided. Silence from the Ministry and the Revenue Agency. On Italian social networks and angry entrepreneurs stormed the pages of the Ministry. The rubber wall resists.

Poverty is growing, many entrepreneurs are no longer able to carry on their business, families find it difficult to pay their bills. Every day we talk about infected people, masks, healed people and vaccines, but little is said about the refreshments announced with great emphasis by national governments and then provided late or incomplete or, as in the latter case, vanished into thin air. And without providing clarification or apology.

Meanwhile, despair is rampant.

It’s the usual slaughter game.
