Alexander Zverev reached the men’s quarterfinals at the Australian Open. The 26-year-old won the tiebreak after four hours against Briton Cameron Norrie 7:5, 3:6, 6:3, 4:6, 7:6 (10:3).
In the quarterfinals, Zverev could now meet world number two Carlos Alcaraz, who is currently playing his round of 16 against Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic. The German number one was eliminated against Wimbledon winner Alcaraz in the quarterfinals of the US Open last fall.
