It started with a high school trip around the Mediterranean. The Linz high school graduates Ludwig Szinicz and Heinz König set off with a school friend on a 22,000 kilometer and 80 day journey around the Mediterranean, which was intended to bring not only a vacation but also a broadening of horizons. König and Szinicz set up their own company in 1969: Transportgeräte Wels, which is now only known as TGW.
