11th Standing Committee Meeting of the 11th CPPCC National Committee Held
On the morning of January 18, the 11th Standing Committee Meeting of the 11th CPPCC National Committee was held with Qian Jieshu, Chairman of the CPPCC, presiding over the meeting. The meeting was attended by Vice-Chairmen of the Municipal CPPCC Sun Xingxue, Zhu Xianming, Liu Tiancai, Li Gongfeng, Dong Zhe, Hu Shoubin, and Secretary-General Zhang Hongyu. A total of 50 out of the 54 members of the Standing Committee were present at the meeting, in line with the provisions of the CPPCC Charter.
During the meeting, reports from each group on the discussion of various reports were presented and the meeting reviewed and approved the election methods (draft) for the third session of the 11th CPPCC National Committee, the list of general vote-getters and scrutineers (draft), and decided on the total vote-getter and vote counter list. Additionally, the meeting discussed the list of candidates for by-election to the Standing Committee of the CPPCC (draft), the list of candidates for the by-election of vice-chairman of the CPPCC (draft), report on the review of proposals at the third session of the 11th CPPCC (draft), and the third session of the 11th CPPCC Meeting resolution (draft).
Chairman Qian Jieshu commended the members of the Standing Committee for their exemplary conduct and participation since the opening of the third session of the 11th CPPCC National Committee. He urged all members to maintain the current momentum and ensure that the conference remains united, democratic, realistic, and encouraging.
The meeting was reportedly a success with fruitful results and a high level of discipline. It is expected that the 11th CPPCC National Committee will continue to work together towards a successful and productive session.
