The 1st (enlarged) meeting of the municipal government party group in 2024 was held in Changchun on the 12th, immediately following the conclusion of the city’s two sessions. The meeting aimed to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the symposium on promoting the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China in the new era, and fully implement the deployment requirements of the city’s two sessions.
Mayor Wang Zilian emphasized the clear direction, goals, and tasks for the entire year. He called for boosting confidence, building consensus, and working hard in strict accordance with the timetable and road map to promote the comprehensive revitalization of Changchun and achieve new breakthroughs.
The meeting also highlighted the need to strengthen the work style of the government team, emphasizing the importance of political discipline, problem awareness, accountability, efficiency, and service orientation.
In terms of current key tasks, the meeting stressed the need to focus on economic performance in the first quarter, project construction, scientific and technological innovation, industrial upgrading, reform and opening up, and maintaining safety and social harmony.
The government also pledged to uphold honesty and self-discipline, strictly implement the spirit of the eight central regulations, and prioritize the well-being of the people.
