Was recovered and brought back to the surface, one of the bodies of the two divers missing since yesterday in a 100 meter depth off the coast of Villasimius, in south-eastern Sardinia. The bodies of Stefano Bianchelli, 56 years old, and Mario Perniciano, 60, were found this morning next to each other 20 meters from the wreck of the San Marco steamer. For the recovery, according to what we understand, a ROV robot capable of reaching great depths was used.

They were spotted by the Navy robot at a depth of 100 meters and about 20 meters from the wreck of the San Marco steamer.

Prosecutor Rita Cariello of the Cagliari Prosecutor’s Office, who is dealing with the matter, spoke with the Port Authority which is coordinating the operations and with the firefighters for the recovery operations which have already begun. The bodies are found 106 meters deep, next to each other. One of the two has already been brought back to the surface thanks to the rov robot.
