The 2024 Liaoning May Day Labor Award Commendation Conference was held in Shenyang on April 30, with Wang Xinwei, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Shenyang Municipal Party Committee, attending and delivering a speech. Provincial leaders Zhang Lilin, Sui Qing, and Chen Luping were also present at the event.
During the conference, Wang Xinwei and other leaders presented awards to the winners of the Liaoning May 1st Labor Medal, May 1st Labor Certificate, and Worker Pioneer Award. Among the commended representatives were Cheng Yuxian, a thermal spray technician from Shenyang Liming Aviation Engine Co., Ltd., Hou Xuejun, secretary of the party committee and chairman of General Technology Group Dalian Machine Tool Co., Ltd., and Li Yingjie, an overtime monitor at Dandong Huaneng Electric Power Equipment Co., Ltd.
In his speech, Wang Xinwei congratulated the advanced collectives and individuals who were commended, expressing holiday greetings and respect to all employees and working people in the province. He acknowledged the contributions made by the working class and working people in Liaoning, emphasizing their role in the province’s development and the success of the three-year revitalization and new breakthrough campaign.
Looking ahead, Wang Xinwei stressed the importance of the new breakthrough three-year action for comprehensive revitalization, urging everyone to continue working hard and making contributions to winning the battle in this critical year. He called for a strong foundation of faith, obedience to the Party, and determination to follow its leadership, as well as a focus on learning new technologies and mastering real skills.
Trade unions at all levels were encouraged to serve as bridges and links for workers, with Party committees providing support and strengthening leadership over trade union work. The conference concluded with the editorial note by Zhang Lijie in charge.
