In the local elections on June 9th, the Hirschau Green List is running for the local council again. Two of their three previous local councilors are running again and at the top of the list. In addition to familiar faces, there are also many new and younger people on the list, including Stefanie Hähnlein, an applicant for the district council.
After the success of the last election, a group of supporters soon formed to support the new local councils, according to a press release from the Green List. The Hirschau Green List is now active as an association.
Important topics that the Green List will work on in Hirschau in the future are a district concept for local heating and the area of traffic and traffic calming. In addition, as before, it is about ecology and nature conservation, maintaining and strengthening democracy, maintaining and improving the social infrastructure – for example with the expansion of the Hirschau Uhland School.
In the next few weeks there will be a lecture on the core topics of the Green List on the nuclear phase-out and energy transition, the obligatory tour of the town, a get-together with Ulrike Baumgärtner and a few other activities.
