The Head of Government, Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé, received this Tuesday, February 6, 2024 in Lomé, the Director General of France Volontaire, Mr. Yann Delaunay on an information visit to Togo.
The exchanges between the two personalities focused on strengthening bilateral relations between France and Togo in the field of volunteering. Mr. Yann Delaunay also presented to the Prime Minister the report on the conclusions of the large gathering of 12 African countries on volunteering held in Lomé.
“It is an honor to have been received by the Prime Minister. I am an operator from France Volontaire, which maintains long-standing and very close relations with Togo. Today in Lomé, we held a large gathering of 12 African countries for the development of volunteering in African countries. It is extremely important for me to share with His Excellency the lessons of the work that we carried out during the meeting and also to see how to strengthen the links between Togo and France on volunteering,” indicated. Mr. Yann Delaunay, after the meeting.
Other subjects were also discussed, notably the major priorities of national policy and decentralization in Togo.
» With the Prime Minister we discussed how to contribute to the major priorities of national policy and decentralization. Our conviction is to rebalance these exchanges and give more opportunities to young Togolese to come and do missions in France. We are also convinced that mobility within the continent can be a great catalyst for development and complementarity,” said the Director General of France Volontaire.
He also praised the spectacular results obtained by Togo in terms of volunteering.
