The former guerrilla and former FMLN deputy, Lorena Peña, threatened that if Manuel “El Chino” Flores does not win the presidential elections on February 4, the FMLN will have a combative attitude.
“Bukele must know that the FMLN militancy has no commitment to him to turn a blind eye to his misdeeds,” Peña threatened. “The FMLN is a historical process that is based on combative action,” he added.
This is not the first time that the militants and historical leaders of the FMLN threaten to resume the strategy of the 1980s war with the aim of defending their interests, more than those of the Salvadoran people.
