National Safety Education Day for Primary and Secondary School Students Commences
This year, March 25 marks the 29th National Safety Education Day for Primary and Secondary School Students. In an effort to enhance campus safety education and raise awareness of the rule of law, safety, and self-protection among students, the Department of Basic Education at the Ministry of Education has announced the commencement of the āNational Primary and Secondary School Students Safety Education Weekā starting from March 25.
The special notice issued by the Ministry of Education emphasizes the importance of promoting safety knowledge and improving risk avoidance capabilities among students. Local education authorities are required to organize a series of safety education activities, utilizing accidents as a cautionary tale to educate students on safety measures.
Furthermore, the notice highlights the need for collaboration with public security, fire rescue, and other relevant departments to conduct special education on mental health, fire safety, traffic safety, first aid training, and emergency drills. The aim is to prevent and control school violence and student bullying while catering to the specific needs of students of different age groups.
In addition to on-campus activities, the Ministry of Education urges a combination of online and offline safety education initiatives, creating a positive public opinion surrounding safety in primary and secondary schools. It is also essential to involve parents in the learning of safety knowledge and encourage their active participation in safety measures.
Strict measures are in place to ensure the success of the safety education week, including a ban on commercial advertisements or promotions during the activities. The Ministry of Education emphasizes the importance of summarizing the experiences gained during the week and developing resources for future safety education programs.
Overall, the National Safety Education Day for Primary and Secondary School Students aims to instill a sense of responsibility and awareness among students towards their own safety and create a culture of safety within school communities.
