Kuwait City (Ummat News) The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, dissolved the National Assembly and announced the suspension of some provisions of the Constitution for four years.
According to the news agency, the Emir of Kuwait said in a speech on state TV that we will review the National Social Security Laws, no one is above the law.
He emphasized that the state is based on two main pillars, which are justice and peace, respect for security personnel is actually recognition of the law, no compromise will be made on their dignity.
The Emir of Kuwait added that our country has gone through difficult times, which have left an impact on all aspects of life, it is important for us to work forward to get out of these difficult situations.
Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said that we had no choice but to take this tough decision to save the country and protect its supreme national interests and the nation’s resources.
He said that harming the country’s interests and wasting public wealth cannot be tolerated in any case, no one is above the law, whoever is involved in the misuse of public money will be punished.
It should be noted that the powers of the National Assembly will be handled by the Emir and the country’s cabinet.
