The atmosphere was friendly this Sunday, January 14, 2024 between members of the non-profit association Pamoja na Wanyonge (PAWA asbl) and elderly and vulnerable people from Katana in Kabare territory in the province of South Kivu.

According to Master Nina Cirimwami, this activity aimed to bring these elderly people together and listen to the problems they face on a daily basis in order to analyze the feasibility of any assistance.

»We came to talk with this category of people who are often forgotten in the community by decision-makers and we really understood their problems. They often struggle to eat three times a day, their housing is not comfortable as well as other basic needs », She indicated the Deputy President of the Board of Directors of Pamoja na Wanyonge asbl.

Furthermore, she emphasizes that at the appropriate time her association will program an apostolate to respond, however little, to the needs of these needy people.

The Pamoja na Wanyonge association is an organization working in the province of South Kivu since 2023 with several missions including those of combating gender-based violence, the use of children in armed groups, and promoting well-being vulnerable people as well as contributing to the improvement of their living conditions.
