The Order intervenes and urges the Local Health Authority 2 to take measures against those who have so far refused the serum: “There are three hundred, an intolerable situation”
TREVISO. One in each department of the Ca ‘Foncello hospital for a total of 300 nurses and no vax operators in the capital of the Marca. The photograph released by the Order of Nursing Professions (Opi) of Treviso is worrying which prompted the president Samanta Grossi to write to Ulss 2 to urge the general management to take a clear position towards colleagues who have not adhered to the prophylaxis against Covid.
The reminder letter was sent last Thursday by the institution to reiterate the need to speed up the issue: “Professionals who are not vaccinated without valid reason must be invited to comply or suspended from their duties,” remembers the Treviso OPI.
THE CLIFF OF THE HOLIDAYS
“We must close the circle”, reiterates the president Grossi, “in the name of patient safety and out of respect for colleagues who have performed the immunization.” However, the shadow is growing that the slowness in the assessment procedures of non-immunized health personnel is dictated by the sustainability of the departments, already “pulled” on the staff front and further troubled by the vacation plan for workers’ holidays. Is it possible that by removing the no vax employees from the wards, the hospital system collapses?
“Our general manager Francesco Benazzi has taken a hard line right from the start, now we have to pull the strings even if there is a vacation plan to respect”, continues Grossi. For the OPI, it is not necessary to wait until September to decide the fate of those who are not vaccinated.
“The decree on the obligation to vaccinate health workers dates back to April 1, we sent the lists of our members to the ULSS on April 5, two months have passed and everything is silent”, recalls Grossi, “Now it is up to the employer do his part, he must evaluate the positions and decide ».
THE COMMISSION
The Ulss of Marca has completed the formation of the evaluation commission and in recent days has announced that it will meet shortly. The names to be considered are over a thousand doctors, social and health workers, nurses and pediatricians who have not adhered to the anti-Covid vaccination in the province of Treviso.
The professional associations and the Ulss provided the Region with lists with all the names and the “validated” lists which were then returned to the health care company of the Marca to start the sessions of the commission formed by the competent doctor assisted by the Prevention department. The bulk of the work will concern the analysis of the documents provided by the interested parties.
“Many have sent documents, reports, letters”, recalled Benazzi, “In case of doubt, the professionals will be summoned and listened to.”
