The Policlinico Città di Udine responds to requests for help: trucks of medicines donated to Ukrainian hospitals

UDINE. The Policlinico Città di Udine also wanted to respond to the appeal for help launched by the Ukrainian people, by donating materials for a value of 17 thousand euros, with the last of the three trucks containing medicines purchased from the Viale Venezia facility which left a few days ago .

Thanks to the collaboration with the “Friuli-Ukraine” association which, since the outbreak of the war, has been active in the area to collect aid, the Polyclinic has decided to donate drugs and basic health devices to help the Ukrainian population and health facilities in loco. Cotton, syringes, gauze, disposable gloves, detergents, thermometers, disinfectants, diapers, sleepers have filled the first two heavy vehicles left in the past few weeks and also the last truck filled with “precious” emergency drugs, such as anti-haemorrhages, antibiotics, inhibitors of injectable, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory pumps and a good supply of sutures of different sizes, which will be destined for hospitals whose resuscitation wards suffer from significant shortages in the availability of medicines to manage emergencies and save lives, is already on the road to Ukraine.

The first request for contact was sent by a Ukrainian employee of the Polyclinic, Nataliya Dolizhanska, who turned to the general management and the president of the Social Policy Commission of the Municipality, also an employee of the Viale Venezia structure, Marco Valentini. «Her friend and colleague Natalya – she explained – is doing a lot to help her compatriots. I am happy that the Polyclinic has responded to your appeal in such an important way ».
