The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China recently held a meeting to review the “Comprehensive Report on the Second Round of Inspections of the 20th Central Committee.” Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, presided over the meeting.
During the meeting, it was noted that the Party Central Committee, under the leadership of Xi Jinping, has placed significant importance on inspection work. Two rounds of central inspections have been deployed since the 20th National Congress of the Party, with a focus on centrally managed enterprises. The inspections have shown that party building within these enterprises has been strengthened, leading to new achievements in comprehensive and strict party governance. However, there are still some issues that require immediate attention and resolution.
The meeting stressed the importance of using inspection and rectification as a means to promote high-quality development and comprehensive and strict governance of the party. This includes strengthening organizational leadership, consolidating main responsibilities, establishing accountability mechanisms, and holding individuals accountable for inadequate rectifications.
State-owned enterprises were highlighted as crucial foundations for socialism with Chinese characteristics. The meeting emphasized the need to uphold and strengthen the party’s leadership within these enterprises, implement Xi Jinping Thought, and achieve the “two safeguards.” It was also mentioned that measures must be taken to prevent and resolve risks, maintain a strict tone in punishing corruption, and continually improve the system to address underlying issues.
In addition to these discussions, the meeting also covered various other matters. The outcomes of the meeting are expected to further advance the goals of the Communist Party of China in promoting high-quality development and governance.
