CALUSO. Provibus, the public transport on call that since 2010 already serves the Municipalities of Caluso, Montalenghe, Barone, Mazzè, Candia, Orio, Villareggia and Vische, will increase its time slots from next Monday 9 May: it will be extended to Saturday morning from 8.15am. at 12.15 and on weekdays from 8.15-12.15 in the morning and 14.00-20.00 in the evening. You can choose any two of the public transport stops indicated on the map as the origin and destination of your journey. The service can be used to move around the municipalities of the Caluso area, but also as a solution to reach the railway station and take the train, or one of the stops of the 265 Turin-Ivrea bus line. The extension of the on-call service for the eight Canavese municipalities is the result of an experiment in line with the strategies of the Urban Sustainable Mobility Plan (Pums) developed by the Metropolitan City of Turin with all the municipalities of the territory and is carried out by Piedmontese Mobility Agency as implementing body.

Thanks to investments targeted on specific and well-defined needs, the on-call service has proved to be really useful for those areas that have dispersed users and many elderly residents for whom it is economically unsustainable to create a traditional service at times. MobiLab is the single project dedicated to sustainable mobility within the Integrated Territorial Plan (Piter) Graies Lab, whose general strategic objective is that of effective and lasting governance capable of guaranteeing the development and consolidation of rural, active, innovative and solidarity on its territory, with the aim of making the territory attractive for new populations and generations.

With this in mind, the expansion of the Provibus responds to the need that emerged from the discussion table with the implementing bodies of the actions of the Alcotra SociaLab Project, also belonging to the Piter Graies Lab, as well as with the local municipalities, to co-design solutions for more effective mobility for the more marginal areas of the project area: in particular the difficulty for young users of autonomous access to extracurricular activities due to the lack of adequate hourly coverage of the traditional local public transport service.

The ticket has a rate equal to the other extra-urban scheduled services ranging from € 1.60 to € 2.80, based on the kilometers traveled and can be purchased on board at no extra charge. It is also possible to buy a carnet of 20 rides at a cost of € 21.50 to € 39.00. The bus has about thirty seats, entrusted to the management of Staav travel. Satisfied the mayors of the eight municipalities who had asked for its expansion.
